Ahead of the launch that Xiaomi has scheduled to conduct on August 10th, it teased one of the devices that will feature in the launch. The launch event is mainly meant for the introduction Mi MIX series smartphone- Mi MIX 4. But the company will also launch a couple of other devices including the Smart Speaker.
Teasers of other devices were given by the company earlier. The new Smart Speaker that the company recently teased will be its “high-end smart speaker”. The comparatively smaller speaker is claimed to give a powerful output. The company claims that it will deliver a concert hall-like experience. The speaker will have a cylindrical design and might have lighting effects.
The Smart Speaker will be a part of the Xiaomi Speaker series. It has support for UWB wireless transmission and can be integrated with Mi MIX 4 smartphone for a hardware-level smart home setup.
The listing of the L16A Smart Speaker provides no details about specifications but it does reveal that the upcoming product will dual-band Wi-Fi support. This will enable options to connect with users’ smart homes and can be used as a control hub with support for voice commands. This is however not officially verified.
