Dorf Ketal’s Trentar launches its drone manufacturing division

Trentar has launched its aerial vehicle manufacturing division. The unmanned aerial vehicle manufacturing division was launched only a few days after the company acquired a Noida-based drone services and platform company called GarudaUAV. With this venture, the company aims to create an entire drone ecosystem under its roof as reported by the Economic Times. Dhruv Aurora, who has been in this field for over 18 years was appointed as the chief executive officer of it.

Trentar is a unit of Dorf Ketal Chemicals. Dorf Ketal founder Subodh Menon has said that “Trentar plans to invest Rs 100 crore in the next three years to design and build specialized drones for defense and civil purposes along with subsystems like AutoPilot, Communication Systems. This will help India being Atmanirbhar…” Trentar was found by the company to have a presence in the new-age industries like drone-based services, robotics, and AI.

According to Sudhir Menon who is the chairman of Dorf Ketal, the leadership of Arora will help Trentar in fulfilling its vision. He added that “The target is to have the first drone from Trentar’s stable in the next 6 months. The plan is to create an enterprise predominantly through the inorganic growth route, globally.”

Arora said that he is looking forward to the plans of Trentar which will result in many new developments in the UAV section.
