Adobe has unveiled a major expansion of its AI-powered Firefly platform, introducing enhanced automation and creative assistance features across several flagship applications, including Premiere Pro, Illustrator, InDesign, and Frame.io.
The latest update equips Firefly with advanced capabilities that help users streamline content creation workflows, from building complete brand identities to generating product videos and visual storyboards. A new “Elements” feature allows creators to save AI-generated assets, such as characters, objects, and locations and reuse them across multiple projects, ensuring greater consistency and efficiency.
Within Premiere Pro, the AI assistant can now automate several time-consuming tasks, including organizing media files into folders, renaming clips in bulk, identifying interview questions within recordings, and adding timeline markers. Illustrator users will also benefit from intelligent workflow enhancements, such as automatic layer organization and detection of missing fonts.
Adobe is further extending Firefly’s reach across its creative ecosystem. The AI assistant already integrates with Express, Photoshop, and Acrobat, while compatibility with leading AI platforms and productivity tools continues to grow. Additional integrations are expected in the near future, enabling smoother collaboration and more connected creative workflows.
Another notable addition is the new Projects workspace, designed to centralize assets, maintain project context, and support collaboration across teams. This feature is particularly useful for organizations managing multi-channel marketing campaigns, brand initiatives, or serialized content production. Both Projects and Elements are currently being tested through a limited beta program.
Firefly’s branding capabilities have also received significant enhancements. Users can now generate comprehensive brand kits by simply describing a brand’s visual identity or uploading existing materials. The platform can automatically create logos, color palettes, and branding guidelines, while also transforming product photographs into promotional videos. Storyboarding tools further assist teams in planning and visualizing video content before production begins.
These updates reflect Adobe’s broader strategy of embedding AI deeply across its product portfolio. The company continues to invest in intelligent assistants that simplify complex workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and reduce the number of manual steps required to complete creative projects. As AI becomes increasingly integrated into professional design and content creation tools, Adobe is positioning Firefly as a central hub for next-generation creative productivity.
