Audio gear maker Rode has launched its latest Wireless Micro Camera Kit, designed for creators and videographers who want studio-quality sound in a portable setup. Known for its compact microphones that deliver crisp audio for smartphones, Rode is now extending that convenience to users who shoot with digital cameras.

The new kit features two microphones and a transmitter, all stored in a compact charging case for easy portability. Rode also includes furry windshields to reduce noise during outdoor recordings. The standout feature this time is the receiver, which now comes with a cold shoe mount for cameras and a 1.1-inch AMOLED display. The screen lets users monitor battery levels, adjust settings, and view a real-time audio visualizer.

Unlike earlier models, the new kit outputs audio through both USB-C and a 3.5mm line-in, offering flexibility for creators using different recording devices. Rode has also added Bluetooth Direct Connect, allowing the microphones to pair directly with iPhones via the Rode Capture app, a feature that was missing in previous versions.

The entire system, including the charging case, provides up to 21 hours of battery life, making it ideal for long shoots or travel vlogs. As an added bonus, Rode is including its first-generation USB-C smartphone receiver for free with every purchase.

The Rode Wireless Micro Camera Kit is now available for purchase globally at a starting price of $149 (around ₹12,400). Indian availability and pricing are expected to be announced soon.

With improved connectivity, longer battery life, and an all-in-one charging case, Rode’s latest kit aims to become the go-to audio solution for both smartphone creators and professional camera users.
