Amazon Echo paved the way for cylindrical or conical wireless speakers in becoming a trend, particularly in the smart speaker market. This has given rise to many unique products and features in the market. LG is following suit with its new XBOOM 360 omnidirectional speaker. It will be similar to a fabric-covered lantern that facilitates playing music.
LG XBOOM 360 is primarily a speaker. The fabric with which it is covered is found to be highly durable and may be considered a standard material for smart speakers. It has a conical design to house the rare reflector structure of the tweeter and woofer. It will result in distortion-free 360-degree audio. The tweeter present in it will have a titanium diaphragm that can produce accurate high-frequency audio, as per LG. The glass fiber woofers maintain it by taking control of the bass and mid-range sounds. The speaker will have a 120W output that can perform well even when used outdoors.
Lighting on smart speakers is not a must but LG opted for a multisensory experience by providing 360-degree preset mood lighting. It also has customizable lighting controls which can be set with the help of an app. The app provides effects like a mixture of multiple samples or giving scratching sound effects.
The fabric used on the speaker will have colour options like Beige, Burgundy, Charcoal Black, and Peacock Green. The speaker will hit the market by the end of this month. Pre-orders for the same have begun on B&H Photo & Video with a price tag of $369.99.
