With a view to make the social media platform look more authentic, WhatsApp has introduced the “disappearing messages” feature on its Android version last month. Now the iOS version also gets the update. The feature on iOS is updated through a new beta release according to WABetaInfo, a WhatsApp information site. Another update with the “view once” feature is on the test flight and is similar to the feature with the same name on another social media platform, Instagram.

The “disappearing messages” option deletes the content after seven days while the “view once” option deletes it immediately upon closing it. However, one can take screenshots of it and the sender won’t be notified of it.
