With the much-expected foldable smartphones, Samsung has announced a total of four new devices in its August Unpacked event. Here’s what the company announced yesterday;

Galaxy Z Fold 3

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3 launched

This was one device that everyone was sure of making to the headlines the day after the event. The most important feature of this foldable is that it has an under-display camera. When the device’s internal selfie shooter is not in use, it will be almost one with the screen, giving the device a feel of a traditional tablet. The S Pen stylus can be used with this device. The event featured an entire segment to describe the efforts made by the company to make the two devices compatible.

The S Pen Fold Edition and S Pen Pro come at a price tag of $50 and have rounder tips that will automatically retract when too much pressure is applied to Fold 3’s internal display. The screen protector was made 80% stronger than before by Samsung.

It also features a more usable Cover Display and has IPX8-rated waterproofing. One other thing that Samsung did well was the pricing. The company plans to sell the Fold 3 at $1,800. It can be pre-ordered now and will go on sale on August 27th.

Galaxy Z Flip 3

Even though the other phone was more popular in yesterday’s event, Samsung has done a very good job with the specifications of the Galaxy Z Flip 3. The phone will be available for $1,000 and will go on sale starting from August 27th. It also features a capable Cover Display which is almost four times larger than the one it had on the previous version. This display makes it possible to access many things including Android’s quick settings menu and Samsung Pay without even opening the device. The notifications and widgets will also have more room now on the display.

The ANC feature allows access to three adjustable ambient sound levels. Galaxy Buds 2 has an embedded machine learning feature to filter noises when the user is talking to someone over the phone.
