As previously promised by developer Poncle, “Vampire Survivors” is finally arriving on PlayStation this summer, with a confirmed release date of August 29 for both PS4 and PS5. Alongside the game, all of its paid expansions will be available on launch day as well.
With this release, PlayStation becomes the last major platform to host the immensely popular, vampire-less game. *Vampire Survivors* originally exited early access on PC and Mac in October 2022, followed by an Xbox release the following month, and a mobile version in December. An ad-free edition was recently introduced on Apple Arcade. The game also made its debut on the Nintendo Switch a year ago, leaving VR as one of the few platforms left to explore.
For those unfamiliar with *Vampire Survivors*, each character in the game begins with a unique perk and an automatically firing weapon. Players only need to control their character’s movement and make strategic decisions about weapon and perk upgrades as they fend off waves of thousands of monsters. Each run can last up to 30 minutes, provided you can survive that long. Despite its simplicity and chaos, the game is incredibly affordable, priced at just five dollars.
