Along with Galaxy S5 in India, Samsung has also launched its latest range of wearable devices – Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo, and Gear Fit. Gear 2 is priced at Rs 21,900, on the other hand Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit will be available for Rs 15,900 each.
The Galaxy Gear 2 and Galaxy Gear 2 Neo run on Samsung Tizen OS and are powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor along with 512MB of RAM, 4GB of memory. Both the devices can be used as a standalone music player and the IrLED on-board allows it to control TVs. Both the devices include 1.63-inch super AMOLED display with a resolution of 320×320 and a 300mAh battery. The Gear 2 boasts a 2-megapixel camera while the lighter Gear 2 Neo is camera-less.
The fitness based Gear Fit comes with a built-in pedometer, accelerometer, and gyro. It has a curved 1.84-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 432×128 pixels, and a 210mAh battery. It boasts dust and water resistance, and can also show notifications for SMS, calls, emails, and apps.
