Samsung has launched its Galaxy A21 Simple SCV49 in Japan. Even though similar in its name, the newly launched device is different from the Galaxy A21 that launched globally in April. While the Galaxy A21 had a hole-punch cutout, the newly launched device features a notched display. The device will be powered by Samsung’s Exynos SoC. The phone has a single rear camera and has thick bezels around the phone.
The price for the Samsung Galaxy A21 is set at JPY 22,000 (Rs. 14,700). It is offered in a single configuration. The available colour options are Black and white. It will be available in Japan from September 9th. The international launch is not yet notified.
The device will run on Android 11. It will have a 5.8-inch HD+ TFT display with 16.77 million colours. Powered by an octa-core Exynos 7884B SoC, the device will have 3GB of RAM. The 64GB of internal storage can be expanded to 1TB by using a microSD card. The single rear camera has a 13-megapixel sensor. For selfies and video calls, the device has a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. For connectivity, the device has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. An accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor are the available sensors on the device. Even though it has no fingerprint scanner, it has a face unlock feature.
Samsung Galaxy A21 Simple will have a 3,600mAh battery which boasts a 560-hour standby time. We don’t know whether it will support fast charging. The device is water-resistant. It will measure 150x71x8.4mm and weighs 159 grams.
