JBL UA Project Rock over-ear headphones claims 45-hour battery life

The fitness brand Under Armour has collaborated with Samsung-owned JBL and Dwayne “The Rock” to bring out a set of wireless headphones. This collaboration itself seems interesting with the added element of having a 45-hour battery life for the wireless headphones. It was reported that Rock himself fine-tuned the headphones. It also claims a sweat-resistant design.

The headphones will cost $300 and will have JBL Charged Sound. This feature will give the headphones more amplified bass and motivation. The headphones will have a logo that is inspired by a former Brahma Bull tattoo that The Rock had. Modelled for use while fitness training, it has an IPX4 rating for sweat resistance. The headphones have the UA SuperVent ear pads for ensuring breathability. Additional features include adaptive noise cancelling, TalkThru, and Ambient Aware modes. It will enable the efficiency of headphones when used outside the gym. Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa voice assistants can be triggered by the hands-free voice commands feature on the headphones.

The Speed Charge Battery promises a two-hour playback upon five minutes of charging. On a single full charge, the headphones are expected to perform for 45 hours as JBL claims. It will come with a USB-C charger. Even though celebrity-endorsed headphones had come out earlier too, it’s been a while since such a project happened.
