You can watch full episode pilots of some of your favourite shows while chatting on Snapchat. Sounds interesting, right? HBO Max has brought its content to Snapchat to attract more users. The available series which can be viewed on Snapchat include Game of Thrones, Lovecraft Country, and Gossip Girl.
This feature to view HBO Max on Snapchat comes as the result of the introduction of the Minis functionality. Snapchat launched it on its platform last June. This lets other apps offer pared-down versions of them on Snapchat. Earlier Headspace also made use of the Minis on Snapchat, but HBO Max is the first to let users view its contents.
HBO Max can be viewed by simply clicking on the rocket icon or using the search option to find it. You will be asked to verify your age before you start viewing the episodes. It is noted that one won’t need an HBO Max subscription but people above the age of 18 will be automatically asked to subscribe to the service. Once you start watching, you can add up to 63 people with whom you can chat in between and share Bitmoji reactions.
There were other apps like Quibi which let their pilots be viewed on YouTube. So HBO Max isn’t the first one among the lot.
