“Super Thanks” feature which was added on YouTube will be rolled out to more users in almost 68 countries. This will allow fans to donate money to their favourite streamers that too using a feature that’s built into the platform rather than third-party plugins. Youtube plans to provide the feature to everyone by the end of the year.

The “Super Thanks” will provide four options to donate to your favourite Youtube creators. The amount of money that can be donated vary according to the country. In the US, the available options are at $2, $5, $10, and $50. Once you have sent the money, animated balloons will be seen on your screen, apart from that your comment will be highlighted and the amount of money sent. Youtube will take 30% of all donations as it does with Super Chat and Super Stickers.

YouTube content creators are on the rise now. At the same time, it faces competition from other platforms like Twitch and TikTok. Therefore, YouTube must offer more ways to stick people to its platform.
