Discord is adding a feature that is present on some traditional social apps. It has introduced a feature to allow users to customize their profiles on the iOS and Android versions of its app. The feature was earlier added to the desktop version.
The feature can be selected from the app’s user settings menu under “user profile”. You can add a description of 190 characters including links and emojis. It allows the users to select a profile colour if the default one doesn’t suit them. The premium Nitro subscribers can now set an image or an animated GIF as their profile banner. These options were all present in the desktop version and the recent rollout will give access to these features on Discord’s iOS and Android apps.
Even though the features are limited it will give Discord a more profile-centric look. Servers, which are Discord’s chat rooms were the focus till now. But it is slowly changing. Discord has also earlier rolled out features like threaded, auto-archiving conversations and audio platforms. The new features are sure to attract more users to its platform.
