Sony has outlined the post-launch plan for its new online hero shooter game, Concord. After a successful open beta, the game is scheduled to debut on PS5 and PC later this month. Firewalk Studios, the game’s developer, has confirmed that Concord will be priced at $40 (Rs. 2,499 in India) and will not feature a Battlepass system. The studio has now disclosed that the game’s first significant post-launch update will be released in October, introducing a new Freegunner, a new map, cosmetics, and more.

Ryan Ellis, the game director at Firewalk, revealed the studio’s commitment to supporting Concord after its release through seasonal updates, new gameplay features, unique rewards, new characters, maps, modes, stories, and more, in a recent PlayStation Blog post.

The post-launch roadmap confirms that Concord Season 1: The Tempest will launch in October, bringing a new playable Freegunner, a fresh map, additional Freegunner Variants, cosmetics, rewards, and an in-game store for customization items for Freegunners. These optional items will be solely cosmetic and will not affect gameplay.

Moreover, Firewalk has announced that Season 2 will be launched in January 2025, with continuous seasonal updates planned throughout the game’s first year. Additionally, the introduction of Concord’s Crew Builder system will allow players to create their Custom Crew of Freegunners for online matches, offering 12 configurable slots and a growing roster of Freegunners and their Variants.

The release times for Concord in various regions were also detailed in the blog post. Early access will begin on August 20 for players who have pre-ordered the Digital Deluxe Edition, and the game will be available for all players on PC and PS5 on August 23. PS5 players who have purchased any edition of the game can now pre-load the game on the console.
