Xiaomi was decided to launch the Mi Band 2 at its May 10 event this week, Xiaomi CEO Jun Lei had confirmed the wearable would be delayed by a month.
Now, a report cites that the wearable will be launched in early June. The Mi Band 2 will sport a display, the highlight of this generation of the Mi Band. The next generation Mi Band is also expected to reduce the wearable’s dependence on the connected smartphone apart from featuring a small display. To recall, at its May 10 event, Xiaomi unveiled its Mi Max smartphone its largest smartphone till date. The company also unveiled MIUI 8, showcasing its revamped design, new features, and revealed its release date for beta testers and developers.
The company also showcased the Xiaomi iHealth box, which will measure various medical related metrics such as blood pressure and heart beat among others. It sports a 4.3-inch display to show the readings while come with Wi-Fi connectivity. Xiaomi at the same event launched its new 10000mAh Mi Power Bank, which comes with a USB Type-C port and sports a 12.58mm side profile.
