At the company’s worldwide event on September 15, the Xiaomi Mesh System AX3000, Smart Projector 2, and Xiaomi Band 6 NFC were unveiled with the Xiaomi 11T smartphones. The Xiaomi Mesh System AX3000 has dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and can support up to 254 devices, according to Xiaomi. The Smart Projector 2 is a portable home theatre device with a full-HD+ resolution and Dolby Audio compatibility. Finally, the Xiaomi Band 6 NFC is a follow-up to the Xiaomi Band 6 that includes a built-in microphone.
Xiaomi Mesh System AX3000
Xiaomi debuted the Mesh System AX3000 in Europe at the global event. The company sells this as a two-router set that can cover residences up to 4,000 square feet, according to the company. Xiaomi also claims that the Mesh System AX3000 can support up to 254 devices at once. It has dual-band Wi-Fi 6 with 2×2 MIMO for quick connectivity between the two routers and the networked devices. A 1.0GHz Qualcomm IPQ5000 dual-core A53 CPU powers the mesh system. With 1024QAM modulation and OFDMA technology support, it claims to improve network efficiency and reduce latency. The Xiaomi AX3000 Mesh System costs EUR 149. (roughly Rs. 12,900).
Xiaomi Smart Band 6 NFC
Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi Smart Band 6 NFC in Europe, after the launch of the Xiaomi Smart Band 6 in March. This will make contactless payments possible, which was not possible with the prior model. The Band 6 NFC was developed in partnership with Mastercard and includes a microphone for Amazon Alexa voice assistance. The rest of the parameters remain unchanged.
It has a 1.56-inch colour touchscreen display, 30 workout modes, a battery life of up to 12 days, 50 metre water resistance, SpO2 tracking, heart rate monitoring, and magnetic charging. In Europe, the Xiaomi Smart Band 6 NFC costs EUR 54.90. (roughly Rs. 4,700).
Xiaomi Smart Projector 2
Along with these other smart devices, Xiaomi also announced the new Xiaomi Smart Projector 2. It’s a little device with a built-in Bluetooth speaker and Dolby Atmos compatibility for improved sound quality. The gadget can project content with a Full-HD (1,920×1,080 pixels) resolution and autofocus, with image sizes ranging from 60 to 120 inches.
The Xiaomi Smart Projector 2 can disperse reflections, reducing eye strain. Connectivity is provided by an HDMI port on the back, as well as a 3.5mm audio jack for adding additional speakers. A USB 2.0 connector is also available for projecting photos from a hard drive. The Xiaomi Smart Projector 2 is an Android TV device that supports streaming services. The device is 115x150x150mm in size and weighs 1.3kg. It has a cloth front and is compatible with Google Assistant. The Xiaomi Smart Projector 2 costs 600 euros (roughly Rs. 52,000).
