WhatsApp has rolled out several exciting new features for Android and iOS users to unleash their creativity. The app has teamed up with Giphy, a US-based online database, to offer a wide array of stickers to users. Moreover, Android users can now leverage the custom sticker maker to craft their own stickers and showcase their creativity. Additionally, improved sticker organization and the ability to create stickers using Meta AI, the AI-powered conversational assistant available on Meta Platforms’ apps like WhatsApp and Instagram, are part of the latest update.
The latest WhatsApp update introduces new ways for users to make the most of stickers. Giphy’s sticker collection is now integrated into the instant messaging platform, allowing users to seamlessly search for relevant stickers without leaving the app. By simply tapping on the sticker icon, users can easily locate stickers of their choice.
Furthermore, the custom sticker maker is now accessible on Android. This feature was initially introduced for iOS in January and allows users to select an existing image and enhance it with elements like cutouts, text, and drawings. Users can also modify previously created stickers stored in the sticker tray.
In cases where users can’t find a suitable sticker to convey their message, they can utilize the AI sticker creation feature through Meta AI. This feature is currently available on Android and iOS platforms in the US and can also be accessed in Spanish and Bahasa Indonesia.
WhatsApp is also enhancing sticker organization by allowing users to preview new sticker packs. New stickers can be previewed below the downloaded ones in the sticker tray, and users can easily manage them by long-pressing to reposition or delete them.
