Volkswagen has finally revealed more details about its highly anticipated ID.Buzz electric van, blending retro design with modern technology. While the exact release date for the U.S. is still under wraps, Volkswagen assures that the van will hit the market later this year, providing information on its trims, pricing, and range.
The base model, the ID.Buzz Pro S, starts at $59,995 MSRP. It features rear-wheel drive (RWD) and seats up to seven passengers. Buyers can choose from three exterior colors: Candy White, Deep Black Pearl, or Metro Silver, with interior options in either Copper (tan) or Moonlight (dark brown).
Next up is the ID.Buzz Pro S Plus, priced at $63,495 for RWD and $67,995 for the 4Motion all-wheel-drive (AWD) version. This model seats six passengers and includes premium features like a head-up display, Harman Kardon 700-watt speakers, and power-sliding rear doors. It comes in the same single-color exterior options as the Pro S, with an additional interior color option: Dune (off-white). For $995 extra, buyers can choose from eight two-tone exterior colors, such as Candy White paired with Cabana Blue, Blue Charcoal, and more, or Metro Silver paired with Cherry Red.
The 2025 ID.Buzz is powered by a 91 kWh battery, delivering an EPA-estimated range of 234 miles per charge (231 miles for the AWD 4Motion models).
Volkswagen will also release a limited-edition model, the 1st Edition, starting at $65,495 for RWD and $69,995 for AWD. This special edition boasts exclusive features such as 20-inch wheels, enhanced audio, roof rail crossbars, heritage-style floor mats, and unique badging. A glass roof, available as an option on the Pro S, is standard on this edition. The 1st Edition comes in five two-tone color combinations, including Cabana Blue, Mahi Green, Metro Silver, Energetic Orange, and Pomelo Yellow, all contrasted with Candy White tops.
