With new updates adding on regularly, Twitter is set to make its platform more engaging and easier to use for its users. In a recent update that the social media giant announced, it will be refurbishing its direct messaging functionality. The new features will be rolled out in the coming weeks. As per the information gathered, now users can share the same tweet with up to 20 different accounts. The company claims that this feature will cut down on accidental group chats. The features will be initially added to iOS and web users. The updates on Android will happen “soon” as notified by the company.
On its mobile version, Twitter will add a quick scroll button. This will enable faster movement to the most recent message in a chat while looking up some past messages. On the iOS version, Twitter has removed the timestamps and started arranging messages by date. It has also added a reaction picker when the user long press on a message.
The new features do not seem to be a large update, but altogether the new features make the platform handier and engaging. Twitter has introduced a new font exclusively for the platform last week.
