Truecaller launched its UPI-based payment system in India in March this year. Powered by ICICI Bank, Truecaller Pay allows Android users to transfer money. The company has now added a new feature to it called Request Money. This new feature enables users to send a request to other users asking them to transfer money. The user receives a notification when any of their friends sends a request for money transfer. They just have to tap on the notification to send the money. In order to complete the transaction, the user has to enter the registered MPIN when asked. Along with this, Truecaller users can also create shareable payment links. Users can send these links to other users via email, SMS, messaging apps, or can post it publically on websites. Once the user clicks on the link, he/she can then taken to the Truecaller app to complete the transaction.
Earlier this month, Truecaller announced its integration with Google’s video calling app Duo. After this integration, users can make video calls directly via the Truecaller app on Android. For iPhone users, Truecaller works with the same integration as Duo.
