EA and Respawn Entertainment have announced that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One starting September 17. Previously, this action-adventure game was exclusive to PC and current-gen consoles, but now players with last-gen systems can join the adventure.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is the follow-up to 2019’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and continues the journey of Cal Kestis, who encounters a new threat linked to the High Republic era. Upon its initial release in April 2023, the game received a four-star review for its rich storytelling and dense 3D Metroidvania gameplay, becoming a definitive single-player Star Wars experience.
Initially marketed as a current-gen exclusive, the game faced performance issues on PC at launch. Despite this, EA has continuously released patches to enhance the game’s performance across all platforms. The last-gen versions were confirmed during an EA earnings call last year and will be priced at $50, featuring various optimizations to make the most of the older hardware.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be available on PS4 and Xbox One from September 17. It is currently available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, and is part of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate catalog on PC and Xbox. Additionally, EA plans to release a patch for PC soon, aimed at improving technical performance, controls, and other quality-of-life aspects.
