SiriusXM has announced a new standalone podcast subscription service called SiriusXM Podcasts+, set to launch on Apple Podcasts starting August 5. The platform promises a “premium listening experience” for some of the top shows from the SiriusXM Podcast Network.

Subscribers will benefit from an ad-free experience, bonus content, and early access to new episodes of popular shows. However, the content won’t be exclusive to this platform and can still be accessed via other podcast services.

At launch, SiriusXM Podcasts+ will feature high-profile shows such as Smartless, hosted by Jason Bateman and Will Arnett, and other productions from the same team. Additional included podcasts are Literally! with Rob Lowe, Andy Cohen’s Daddy Diaries Podcast, and Last Podcast on the Left. More programs are expected to be added throughout the year.

Initially available through Apple Podcasts, SiriusXM plans to expand the subscription to other platforms in the coming weeks. The service will launch in over 60 countries, priced at $6 per month or $45 per year.

SiriusXM’s foray into the podcast realm continues its evolution as a significant player in the space, leveraging its background in satellite radio talk shows.
