Reliance Retail has launched an e-commerce store called RelianceFreshDirect.com to delivery grocery products in Mumbai, reports the Times of India. Earlier this year, the company had mentioned in its annual report that it will launch e-commerce stores in the coming year.

The TOI reports says that Reliance Retail had carried out a pilot project for Reliance FreshDirect at its Reliance Corporate Park office in Navi Mumbai over the past few months, where around 10,000 employees availed its facilities through the website. The platform is expected to sell vegetables, fruits, groceries, dairy products, confectionery products, packaged food and personal care products to the residents of Navi Mumbai, South Mumbai and parts of Thane.

The website also features a ‘My List’ feature to save a personal list of products. Along with the above mentioned goods, the website currently also offers various bakery products, drinks, household goods and specialty items, and lists various offers in a separate category.

No further information on if and when Reliance Retail would extend its home delivery service to other locations in Mumbai and other cities across India.
