At its annual 828 Fan Fest held in China on Wednesday, Realme unveiled its latest advancement in fast-charging technology, the 320W SuperSonic Charge. This new technology is claimed to fully charge a smartphone in just four and a half minutes. The event also highlighted a new foldable battery for smartphones and confirmed the launch of the upcoming Realme 13 series.

Realme 320W SuperSonic Charge

Chase Xu, Vice President of Realme, demonstrated the 320W SuperSonic Charge technology, which purportedly charges a smartphone from 0% to 100% in four minutes and 30 seconds. According to Realme, just one minute of charging can provide 26% battery life, while two minutes can achieve a 50% charge.

Dubbed a “4-minute miracle,” this technology aims to charge a smartphone as quickly as making a cup of coffee or playing a song. The event, attended by media, industry experts, and enthusiasts, showcased Realme’s commitment to developing a high-rated yet safe charging method. The 320W SuperSonic Charge supports various mainstream protocols, including UFCS (up to 320W), PD, and SuperVOOC.

The technology offers simultaneous charging via dual USB Type-C outputs, supporting up to 150W for Realme smartphones and 65W for compatible laptops.

New Foldable Battery

Realme also introduced a foldable battery with a rated capacity of 4,420mAh. This quad-cell battery features four individual cells capable of simultaneous charging, each under 3mm thick. It provides a 10% increase in capacity compared to traditional designs and is designed for use in foldable smartphones, which often have shorter battery life due to multiple screens.

AirGap Voltage Transformer

Realme showcased the AirGap Voltage Transformer, designed to protect smartphone batteries from electrical faults such as circuit breakdowns. The transformer uses contact-free electromagnetic conversion to restrict voltage to 20V, achieving a thermal efficiency of 98% for the 320W SuperSonic Charge technology.

New Smartphone Technologies

In addition to the 320W SuperSonic Charge, Realme introduced six new smartphone technologies across AI, Performance, and Imaging. Notable innovations include a solid-state button with sliding functionality for quick actions like instant zoom and photo capture. A new anti-reflective display was also revealed, which reduces reflections by up to 80%.

Realme’s AI Motion Picture technology, powered by NEXT AI, transforms static images into dynamic 25-frame videos. In gaming, the AI Gaming Super Resolution enhances visuals while managing chipset workload, and 4D Game Vibration customizes haptic feedback for over 100 in-game actions. The Holo Audio feature adjusts sound positioning based on user preference.
