The Realme C25Y was introduced in India on Thursday as a low-cost option from the company. The new Realme phone features a 50-megapixel primary camera for the first time in the C series. The Realme C25Y is an update to the Realme C25 and has a waterdrop notch. A Unisoc octa-core SoC is also included in the smartphone.
In India, the price for Realme C25Y is set at Rs. 10,999 for the 4GB + 64GB storage variant. The 4GB + 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 11,999. It will come in Glacier Blue and Metal Grey colour options and will be available for pre-orders starting 12pm (noon) on Monday, September 20. Realme C25Y will be available via Flipkart, Realme.com, and retail outlets starting September 27.
The Realme C25Y is a dual-SIM (Nano) supported smartphone that runs on Android 11 with the Realme R Edition UI on top. It has a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a peak brightness of 420 nits. The phone is powered by a Unisoc T610 octa-core SoC with 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM.
The triple rear camera arrangement houses a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f1.8 lens, a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor with an f/2.4 lens, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter for photographs and movies. AI Beauty, HDR mode, Panoramic View, Portrait, Timelapse, Expert, and preset filters are supported by the back camera of the device. The Realme C25Y has an 8-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.0 lens on the front for selfies and video chats. The front camera also supports the AI Beauty function.
The Realme C25Y has a storage capacity of up to 128GB. It can be expanded using a microSD card (up to 256GB) through a dedicated slot. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v5, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone. An accelerometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer, and proximity sensor are among the sensors on board. On the back of the phone is a fingerprint sensor.
The smartphone has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. The company says that the battery is rated to give up to 48 days of standby time. The Realme C25Y weighs 200 grams.
