The tool enables brands to automatically convert product catalogs into dynamic, shoppable visual collages streamlining content creation while enhancing user engagement.
The innovation is particularly geared towards capturing the attention of Gen Z users, who already show a strong preference for collage-style content. According to the platform, millions of collages have been created by users so far, and early trials show that these AI-generated collages are saved by users at nearly double the rate compared to standard product Pins.
Smarter Product Grouping with AI
Auto-collages use artificial intelligence to organize products into visually appealing collections based on themes like outfit inspiration, similar product categories, and individual user interests. For example, the system might pull together complementary clothing items to suggest complete looks or curate collections based on trending products that users have interacted with.
By analyzing user engagement and behavioral patterns such as past saves, likes, or items added to boards — the feature can create personalized shopping experiences that reflect evolving tastes and preferences.
Helping Advertisers Save Time and Drive Results
Developed as part of Pinterest’s ongoing innovation efforts in generative AI tools for advertisers, auto-collages aim to reduce the time and creative effort involved in campaign design, while improving reach and relevance.
