Chinese smartphone make OnePlus One has been launched in India, priced at Rs. 21,999 for the 64GB version. The smartphone is available via invites from Tuesday, exclusively on Amazon.in.
Originally introduced earlier this year, OnePlus One sports a 5.5-inch full HD display and comes with 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and 3GB of RAM. The phone runs on Android 4.4-based CyanogenMod 11s, but won’t be getting any CM updates in the future. OnePlus is working on an Android 5.0-based firmware for the phone, which will released sometime in next year. The consumers will be able to use an online guide to update their phone from CM 11S to the Lollipop firmware or take their phone to a nearby service centre to get it upgraded free of cost.
According to OnePlus, it has partnered with HCL to provide service support for its One smartphone via twenty service centres across major cities in India. The company has stated that it will also begin the accessory sales at Amazon today.
