OnePlus 5T has been launched on Thursday at an event in New York. The highlight of the new flagship from OnePlus is its 6.01-inch full-HD+ bezel-less display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is priced at Rs 32,999 for the 6GB RAM/64GB ROM variant and will cost Rs 37,999 for the 8GB RAM/128GB ROM model. The device will be available for purchase Globally starting November 21.
In terms of hardware, the OnePlus 5T is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC and runs on OxygenOS 4.7.1 layered atop Android 7.1.1 Nougat. OnePlus has promised an Oreo update for the smartphone in early next year and the Oreo beta update for the smartphone will be available from December this year. It is available in two variants, one with 6GB RAM/64GB ROM and another with 8GB RAM/128GB ROM.
As rumours suggested, the smartphone features a 6.01-inch FHD+ Optic AMOLED display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a rear mounted fingerprint scanner. The OnePlus 5T sports a dual rear camera setup with 16MP+20MP sensors and both come with same f/1.7 aperture lens and 27.22mm focal length. The company says that the smartphone captures much better portrait and lowlight images. It features a 16MP front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. The OnePlus 5T is powered by a 3300mAh battery and retains the 3.5mm audio jack.
