Nothing’s budget-focused sub-brand CMF has unveiled a series of new products, including the much-anticipated Phone Pro 2, which promises significant upgrades over its predecessor. Designed to be the brand’s lightest and slimmest smartphone yet, the Phone Pro 2 measures just 7.8mm in thickness and weighs 6.5 ounces, offering an ultra-portable experience. However, it’s worth noting that other competitors, like Apple’s iPhone 16, still manage to be slightly lighter.
Powering the CMF Phone Pro 2 is the sixth-generation MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro 5G chipset, featuring an 8-core CPU capable of speeds up to 2.5GHz. This marks a notable improvement in both processing and graphics performance compared to the earlier CMF Phone 1. Backed by a long-lasting battery that claims to support two full days of usage on a single charge, the new device also boasts a 6.77-inch FHD+ AMOLED display and a versatile quad-camera setup, led by a 50MP primary sensor. Adding to its appeal, the phone supports modular camera accessories, allowing users to attach fisheye and macro lenses.
Available in four striking colours — black, light green, orange, and white — each variant sports unique back panel designs, ranging from frosted glass textures to a sophisticated sandstone finish. Despite its premium design, the CMF Phone Pro 2 remains budget-friendly, with the 256GB version priced at just $279 (approximately ₹23,000). However, availability may be limited initially, with pre-orders open only to beta programme members, and shipments set to begin from May 6.
CMF also introduced a new range of wireless earbuds. The CMF Buds 2, priced at around $50, offer active noise cancellation and a spatial audio-like experience. The CMF Buds 2 Plus, at $65, come with hi-res LDAC support and customizable EQ settings. Meanwhile, the CMF Buds 2a cater to budget-conscious users, featuring ANC at an affordable price point of $38. All earbuds are scheduled for release on May 6, although they will not be available in the US market at launch.
