Nokia will be renamed as Microsoft Mobile Oy, after the closure of the acquisition by Microsoft. Nokia has revealed this in a letter sent out to existing users with a Nokia account. The deal is expected to close by the end of this month. In a $7.2 billion deal, Microsoft has bought Nokia’s mobile phones division, including the teams that make feature phones. However, Nokia will continue to exist with its telecom networks and infrastructure business NSN, its mapping and location based services HERE and its Advanced Technologies business that handles its IP and patents.
