Motorola has launched the Virat Kohli Edition of the Moto G Turbo smartphone in India. It’s not all that different from the regular Moto Turbo. But then with Virat Kohli’s name attached to it, this is bound to appeal to those who believe the cricket is our religion and its superstars our demi-gods. The phone comes as a part of the Virat Fanbox for Rs 16,999. The phone will be available in the first week of May.
The phone, which is a tribute to the flamboyant Indian cricketer, comes with a Virat emblem. The FanBox is also being called a first of its kind club membership concept, which has been launched by Singapore-based Cornerstone Sports Consultants and PrivyPlex. It comes with one year subscription of the Virat FanBox club, a FanBox app, the phone, and a miniature bat signed by the star Indian batsman.
“As a cricketer, I feel genuinely blessed with all the love and support I get from my fans. The Virat FanBox is my personal endeavour to get closer to my fans than ever before; to connect and chat with them online and meet them in real life. I am excited and looking forward to engaging and interacting with the Virat FanBox club members via the app,” said Virat Kohli at the launch of the app.
The phone has a 5-inch HD display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor coupled with 2GB RAM. The phone has 16GB memory and has a 13-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel camera on the front. The phone also has water resistance and comes with a Turbo charger. The phone also has dual-SIMs and 4G capabilities.
