Linktree, the link-in-bio platform, has recently acquired the social media scheduling tool Plann for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition will allow Linktree to integrate social scheduling features into its platform in the upcoming months. This will enable users to access features such as social media planning and auto-posting for platforms like TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram. The exact extent to which Linktree plans to incorporate Plann’s features, such as its AI-powered caption generator, remains unclear.

Currently, Plann will operate as usual, and it is uncertain how much the new scheduling tool will cost for users. Plann users will eventually transition to Linktree once the integration is officially launched. The entire Plann team, including founder Christy Laurence, will be joining Linktree.

Linktree co-founder and CEO Alex Zaccaria expressed that the addition of social scheduling simplifies content distribution for the 50 million creators and businesses using Linktree. This move aligns with Linktree’s goal to simplify how creators manage, grow, and monetize their audience.

This acquisition marks Linktree’s fourth, following previous investments in link-in-bio competitors Koji and Bento, as well as Odesli, the automated music link aggregation platform. Additionally, earlier this year, Linktree launched its beta social commerce offering, enabling creators to add storefronts to their link-in-bio pages and take a 12%-15% commission on sales.
