Google had the habit of naming its Android updates after famous desserts. A new report claims that the new version of Android which is the Android 13 will be named after another dessert called Tiramisu. This became the talk of the town after a comment from AOSP Gerrit.
The name Tiramisu will be used only internally as told by the leaker. It will be officially called Android 13 only. Earlier, Google used the dessert-themed names publicly but it was stopped for the versions after Android 10. However, these codenames are being used internally. Some fans miss these codenames. Android 10 was known as Quince Tart; Android 11 went by Red Velvet Cake and the latest Android 12 was called Snow Cone.
Some codenames even built partnerships with Google and candy manufacturers as in the case of Android 4.4 Kitkat. The company pushed Google to promote the name which will also benefit the chocolate.
Tiramisu is an Italian dessert that has the flavour of coffee. It’s available in Italian restaurants everywhere and now even in other restaurants. Coffee-lovers will love its taste and for those who don’t like coffee it’s better to not have a taste of the dessert.
Google has recently launched an update for Android 12. This update called the Android 12 Beta 3.1 fixed many issues that the base version had. The launch date of Android 13 is not yet mentioned.
