Facebook owned Instagram is celebrating 300 million users. Although the number is far behind Facebook, but stands upper than Twitter. The company says that it has a grown to a “global community that shares more than 70 million photos and videos each day.” In the announcement blog, the company has counted some of its achievements, like the launch of People tab on the Explore page, last month.
Along with this announcement, the company has also introduced a new feature, where in you can connect with the authentic accounts you’re looking for with verified badges for celebrities, athletes and brands. As it has reached new heights, Instagram is taking steps to deactivate spammy accounts. So you might see a change in your follower count.
