The highly anticipated action-adventure game, “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle”, developed by MachineGames, is officially launching on PlayStation 5 after its initial release on Xbox and PC. During Gamescom’s Opening Night Live, the game’s release date was confirmed for Xbox Series S/X, PC, and Game Pass on December 9. It was also announced that the game would arrive on PS5 in Spring 2025, following a timed exclusivity period for Xbox.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Release Date Unveiled
At the event, a new gameplay trailer for “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle” was revealed, showcasing thrilling action, puzzle-solving elements, and the iconic whip combat. The trailer not only confirmed the release date for Xbox and PC but also gave fans a glimpse of the game’s launch on PS5 in 2025. Initially planned as a 2024 release, the game will first hit Xbox platforms and PC before making its way to Sony’s console.

PS5 Launch After Xbox Exclusivity
As a Microsoft first-party title published by Bethesda, many expected “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle” to be exclusive to Xbox and PC. However, earlier this year, rumors suggested that a PlayStation 5 launch was being considered. This speculation was confirmed at Gamescom, with the PS5 version arriving after the Xbox exclusivity window ends.

Back in February, discussions around a PS5 release had emerged, but Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer clarified that it wasn’t part of the initial four Xbox exclusives planned for rival consoles. While Spencer didn’t confirm future plans for additional first-party Microsoft titles on PlayStation, the decision to bring “Indiana Jones” to PS5 suggests that more cross-platform releases may be possible.

Pre-Orders and Special Editions Available
Alongside the release date announcement, Bethesda also opened pre-orders for “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle” on Xbox and Steam. Players can choose from Standard, Premium, and Collector’s editions, with early access available for Premium and Collector’s pre-orders. The game is also available to wishlist on the PlayStation Store in anticipation of its 2025 release on PS5.
