HTC has launched One E8, which is a budget variant of M8, in India. E8 features a 5-inch 1080p (441ppi) Corning Gorilla Glass 3 display, a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera instead of the Duo Camera in M8, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and 2,600mAh battery. The battery is claimed to offer 20 hours of talktime and 496 hours on standby mode.
Connectivity options include dual nano-SIM card slot, LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and GPS. On the software front, it runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, wrapped under HTC’s latest Sense 6.0 UI. The company has priced the device at Rs 34,900 and will be available from the end of this month.
