The world’s first ‘time crystal’ inside a quantum computer might have been created by a research team featuring dozens of scientists working in partnership with Google’s quantum computing labs. The full research paper has not yet been received. This information is from a pre-print research paper and is yet to be confirmed.

Time crystals are a new phase of matter and they tend to remain the same even when they are used in a process and also maintains entropy. They break some of the famous laws of physics and will be an interesting topic for study. Time crystals can alternate between two configurations but when they alternate between these, they don’t use or lose any energy.

This can be used in quantum computing systems, without the use of fuels or energy. Of course, the research is not yet completed and their usage cannot be ensured as of now. But if the research becomes successfully and rightfully implemented it can bring a lot of change in making quantum computing common and easier.
