Google Search on desktop will now have a dark mode

Google has revealed that the desktop version of Search will now have a dark mode option. This modification had been in the works since December, according to Google. According to a Google product support manager, it has been formally announced and will begin rolling out to all users in the coming weeks.

Google’s new dark mode isn’t completely black. It may be turned on by selecting Search Settings from the Settings menu. Choose Appearance from the drop-down menu, then select “dark” from the drop-down menu. A “device default” option allows it to be automatically changed based on the device’s settings.

Even though the change is starting to roll out today, it may take a few days or weeks for everyone to get access to it. Some users have also seen a sun icon that can be used to switch it on or off without going to the settings page; however, it’s unclear whether this is part of the update or just a test.
