Google has updated its Gmail for Android app with the ability to save attachments to Google Drive. This feature has been available in the web version for a while. Since space is a major constraint in a mobile device, this feature holds a great importance, as the users can now save files to the cloud directly and access large files without having to dump any apps on to the device.
Apart from this, the update also includes Spam explanations, which explains why an email has been dumped into the spam folder. There is also an improved support for right-to-left languages like Arabic, Hebrew and Persian. It will also provide quick access to the navigation menu, which will now be available by swiping the display from left to right from anywhere in the app. These updates will be rolled out to the users in the coming days.
