Facebook Dating is Facebook’s dating service. Since it is not so popular as other dating apps, the company is adding more features to make it more interesting for the users. The company sees many possibilities in the world of virtual dating which was more popularized due to the pandemic.
Facebook has added an interesting feature to the platform- audio dates. This feature will allow the user to initiate an audio conversation with somebody. When the user starts a call with someone, the other person will get an invitation for the same. If they accept the invitation, then the users can go on with their chat.
The company has also added a feature to allow more locations on the app for where to look for matches. This feature will be called Match Anywhere. It will allow users to match people who have temporarily moved to different places. Another feature that will come up is the Lucky Pick. It “enables daters to consider other compatible candidates who may be outside their typical preferences,” as told by Alexandru Voica, a Facebook communications staffer.
Facebook has also another dating app called Sparked. Sparked was released by Facebook’s NPE Team in April and it allows four-minute video speed dates.
