Audio-Technica launches ATH-M50xBT2 Wireless headphones

Audio-Technica is a popular name in the field of consumer headphones. Their headphones appeal to not only mainstream consumers, but also those who are particular about their headphones. The headphones are all reasonably priced. Because of all these factors, M50x headphones by the company have been so popular.

Recently, Audio-Technica has announced an upgrade to the M50x and will come through M50xBT2 with several new upgrades. The new features added will include support for Amazon’s Alexa making it available to control smart gadgets in your home and other features available on a digital assistant. It has also added support for multi-point Bluetooth pairing. This will allow the headphones to swap between multiple devices faster and easier, enabling fast switching back and forth between your phone and computer without any problems.

The company said, “With this update, we’ve also introduced several noticeable enhancements, such as improved vocal pickup for better call quality, an updated USB-C connection, and multipoint pairing mode.” The wireless headphones have dual microphones and use beamforming technology that ensures improved vocal pickup for “crystal-clear audio call quality”.

The company has used the same 45mm drivers, in the new wireless headphones as that of the M50x. It has also improved the codec support and it is now expanded to add AAC, LDAC, and SBC. The M50xBT2 will have a performance range of 50 hours. With a 10 minutes quick charge, the device will allow three extra hours of performance. The Audio-Technica M50xBT2 will have a price tag of $199.
