Apple is reportedly partnering with Shazam to introduce a song-identification feature in iOS 8. This means that iPhone and iPad users can identify songs without having to download separate apps. According to Bloomberg, the users could access the feature through Siri, which means an iPhone user will be able to say something like “what song is playing” to find out more about the music. Apple already has its own music streaming service, iTunes Radio, and it makes sense for it to further develop music-related features. Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference begins in early June and if the rumor is accurate we will get more details in the coming weeks.
