Vivo S series add S10 and S10 Pro to its list

The phones were launched on Thursday in China, Indian launch date is yet to be confirmed

The latest additions to the Vivo S series feature a 90Hz Super AMOLED display, dual selfie cameras, and the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC with a 44W charging support. The two models also share features like dual soft light LED selfie flash at the front, and a flat frame design that looks like that of the Apple iPhone 12 series. The S10 model comes in two variants the 8GB RAM+128GB storage and 8GB RAM+256GB storage. The S10 Pro however has only the 12GB RAM+256GB storage variant.

The phones will begin their sale in China from July 23rd and are priced at CNY 2,799 and CNY 2,999 for the S10 variants. S10 Pro is priced at CNY 3,399. The available colour options are black, gradient, lime, and velvet white. The phone weighs 173gms and measures 158.2×73.67×7.29mm. The gradient finish weighs a little more than the other ones.

The S10 Pro has NFC support which isn’t available on the S10 model. The primary camera sensor is 108MP unlike the 64MP camera of S10. Other than these, both phones share almost similar specifications.

It is dual SIM and runs on Android 11 with OriginOS 1.0. The display has a 6.44 inch full-HD+ super AMOLED screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio and HDR 10+ support. The triple rear camera has a 64MP primary camera sensor (108MP in the case of S10 Pro) with a 1.88 lens, 8MP secondary sensor, and a 2MP macro shooter. A LED flash module is given and it supports up to 4k video recording. The selfie camera has a 44MP primary sensor with an f/2.0 lens and an 8MP ultra-wide shooter.

Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/A-GPS, and a USB Type-C and have sensors like accelerometer, ambient light gyroscope, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor. There is also an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The battery is 4,050 mAh which supports 44W fast charging.
