Whether big or small, every other company is either working on a wearable device or already have it. And it is not surprising, if we hear Microsoft also wants to try its luck. According to Forbes, Microsoft is also working on a smartwatch. The report says that Kinect engineers are involved in the project. The device will not only work with Windows Phone devices, but also with Android and iOS devices.
Microsoft’s smartwatch will reportedly look similar to Samsung Gear Fit and feature a full-color touch screen that faces towards a wearer’s wrist. Unlike Gear Fit which requires users to turn on its heart-rate monitor, Microsoft’s upcoming device will track continuous heart rate over the course of a person’s day and still the battery will last for two days. All these points definitely looks stronger, when compared to the existing devices with multiple platform support holding the highest point. The timeline for the launch of the device is not clear, but according to Forbes, Microsoft could be targeting a summer launch.
