Microsoft might reveal Surface Go 3 at September 22 event

Rumours about Microsoft planning to unveil Surface Go 3 at the company’s September 22 event have surfaced. Microsoft was planning on a Surface Duo 2 and an updated version of the Surface Book 3. These devices may also appear at the event. Many sites have reported the launch of Surface Go 3.

Surface Go device is popular among Surface devices because of its comparatively lower price and small form factor. It is best suited to be a student PC or secondary tablet. The new Surface Go 3 will also adhere to these features, with a 10.5-inch display. It will differ from its predecessor on the inside. The recent leaks suggest that the tablets will be using Intel’s ‘Amber Lake’ processors. The higher-end variant might use the Intel Core i3-10100Y quad-core chip and will have 8 GB of RAM. The other much cheaper one will carry Pentium Gold 6500Y with 4GB of RAM. It is not a very good feature in 2021, though.

Many gadget enthusiasts thought that Microsoft would employ an ARM-based chip on the new Surface Go. But it was not fulfilled maybe because Microsoft was unable to make the price lower for the performance it aimed to achieve. Surface Go 2 was priced at $399 without the keyboard. Or Microsoft would have thought that Intel chips were safer. We can find out more after the event.
