Today all Indians are celebrating the festival of Holi and the internet giant Google has joined in the celebration by showcasing a colorful doodle. The doodle has a spraygun (pitchkari) splashing colors on its homepage in India. In the history, Google has posted doodle to mark the festival of Holi on its India homepage in 2001, and later in 2010 and 2011.

Holi is the festival of colors that is celebrated in India, when everyone applies colors on each other. It falls on the last full moon day of the lunar month Phalguna, according to Indian Calendar. This festival signifies the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, end of winter, and for many a festive day to meet others, play and laugh, forget and forgive, and repair ruptured relationships.
