Facebook has acquired Moves, the fitness-tracking app that records your daily activities using smartphone. The price of the deal has not been announced. Moves has written in a blog that “we’re joining Facebook’s talented team to work on building and improving their products and services with a shared mission of supporting simple, efficient tools for more than a billion people.” The company was founded in Jan 2012 in Helsinki, Finland and the Moves app is claimed to be downloaded 4 million times. Its iOS and Android apps will remain standalone and the company says that there are no plans to commingle data with Facebook.
