Twitter is experimenting with the number of views a tweet has received. This feature has been available to its advertising products, but this test intends to bring it to the regular users. The view count will let the users know the number of times their posts have been read, even if they are not receiving retweets or favorites, in other words a sort of encouragement for posting more. On the contrary, there can be an adverse effect as well, a lesser count can discourage the users to keep tweeting. Twitter has not commented on the new feature, so we are not sure whether the feature will eventually launch.
