Twitter has an event full week, after introducing a new Facebook like profile design, the company has just let out real-time notifications on the web. Any time you’re logged in to twitter.com, you will receive notifications if someone has replied, favorited or retweeted one of your Tweets. You will also receive notifications for direct messages and new followers. For your convenience, Twitter will allow you to reply, favorite, retweet, and follow right from the notification window.
In case, these notifications are distracting you, there is an option to make sure you’re getting the notifications you want. All you have to do is, go to Settings on twitter.com and pick the type of notifications you want to receive. Twitter has said that it will be rolling out this feature over the coming weeks.
